Epidurals and trampstamps: Safety or bias?

I saw this post with excerpts from an article on the Unnecesarean blog on Epidurals and Lower Back Tattoos.

Are you serious?

This has very little to do with safety and much to do with preconceived notions of women with tattoos.

Whatever.

*my statments refer to the idiots in the excerpts, NOT Jill!*

Wait. Are you attributing that statement to me? That was on Snopes and I quoted the author.

Have you seen women with back tattoos told they couldn't have an epidural?

Oh no no! I wasn't attributing those statements to you!!!!! I was just refering to what the idiots...I mean authors had to say. Sorry if that was misleading!

And forgot to answer your question - nope, never seen our CRNAs refuse to do an epidural on someone with a back tattoo.

Oh good!! :)

And I'm glad no one has ever denied anyone an epidural because of some back ink.
